Montgomery, AL – Orinthesis Whatley Killed in Car Accident on Zelda Rd
Montgomery, AL (September 26, 2020) – An accident reported in the Montgomery area claimed one person’s life and left two others seriously injured late Friday evening. At approximately 9:50 p.m., on September 25, the police, firefighters, and emergency medical workers responded to the scene of an accident on Zelda Road.
Reports from local news sources show that a 2004 Ford Mustang was traveling through the intersection of Zelda Road and Gatsby Drive when it collided with a 1995 Toyota Tacoma.
The impact of the crash caused severe damage to both vehicles involved. The drivers of both the Mustang and the Toyota sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. Both victims were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
A passenger inside the Mustang, who was identified as 19-year-old Orinthesis Whatley, died as a result of his injuries. The victim was declared deceased at the scene of the accident.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
