Car Accidents in Alabama
A total of more than 155,000 motor vehicle accidents take place in the state of Alabama each year. Although the majority of these result in property damage, more than 47,000 accidents leave at least one person injured. The aftermath of an injury accident can be extremely overwhelming for victims. The mental and emotional consequences victims are forced to ensure are only made worse by the physical suffering.
There are a variety of injuries that victims can sustain from automobile accidents. Some of the most common debilitating injuries include:
- Broken bones
- Spinal cord injuries
- Brain damage
- Loss of limbs
- Neck and soft tissue injuries
Regrettably, there are numerous instances where victims succumbed to their injuries. In cases where victims do survive, they are often forced to undergo extensive and costly medical treatment. Although we would like for everyone harmed in collisions to recover, this is far from reality. Thousands of people are left permanently disabled as a result of their injuries. When victims are harmed in accidents due to the negligence of others, it is important that they reach out to a car accident attorney in Alabama as soon as possible. Injured victims may be entitled to compensation to help cover the costs of care, lost wages, and other expenses as they move forward and recover.
