Injury Accidents in Montgomery
As reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Alabama saw 872 fatal car accidents in 2018, resulting in the deaths of 953 victims and the serious injury of thousands more.
Alabama requires you to prove that your injuries were caused by the negligent act or omission on the part of a company or another person before you are eligible to obtain financial compensation. In cases like this, the burden of proof is placed on the plaintiff; not simply establishing the fault of the other party but that their current injuries arose from that accident. Only after both of these elements are sufficiently established will you be eligible to be compensated for your accident-related damages.
Tens of thousands of people are hospitalized each year in our state for debilitating injuries like broken bones, spinal cord injuries, neck injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. In many cases, victims require emergency medical assistance and have to spend weeks in area hospitals to recover. After being released from hospitals, victims have to continue going to therapy for months.
Even though we would like to believe that every person is able to recover from their injuries, thousands of people sustain injuries that leave them permanently disabled. The mental, physical, and financial consequences of accidents are often overwhelming for victims and their families.
