Millbrook, AL – Ethel Harris and Rashard Adkins Killed in Crash on Cobbs Ford Rd
Millbrook, AL (December 17, 2020) – Two people died and four more were injured in an accident on Cobbs Ford Road at the exit for Interstate 65 on Thursday, December 17th.
73-year-old Ethel W. Harris, a resident of Selma, and 36-year-old Rashard T. Adkins, a resident of Jones, both died when the 2006 Lincoln Mark LT in which they were traveling in crashed into a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 37-year-old Raymond Hawthorne Jr., a resident of Pike Road.
Harris and Adkins were both pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lincoln, 71-year-old Mary Adkins, also a resident of Jones, along with two other people who were in the Lincoln sustained injuries and were all transported to various hospitals in the area.
The accident took place at about 8:40 a.m. as the Lincoln was fleeing the site of an earlier accident where it rear-ended another vehicle near the intersection of U.S. Highway 82 and Cobbs Ford Road.
The fatal crash site was about a mile from the first crash site.
