Greenville, AL – De’unte’vius Queshuntriel Truitt Fatally Struck by Car on AL-10
Greenville, AL (February 27, 2021) – A man from Butler County died when he was struck by a car on Thursday, February 25th.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the accident occurred at about 6:35 p.m. on State Highway 10, just outside of Greenville when a teenage driver pulled his 2016 Nissan Versa to the side of the road. His passenger, 23-year-old De’unte’vius Queshuntriel Truitt, a resident of Greenville, then exited the vehicle and walked around to the driver’s side.
Although it is unclear why the vehicle pulled over, Truitt was standing next to it when a 1997 Chevy 3500 pick-up truck hit the Nissan, causing it to strike Truitt.
He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries a short while later.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, De’unte’vius Queshuntriel Truitt, at this time.
