Decatur, AL – Triple Fatality Caused by Wreck on Hwy 69
Decatur, AL (November 22, 2020) – Three young adults died during a car accident along Alabama Highway 69 in Cullman County on Saturday, November 21st.
Police reports indicate that the accident took place at about 10:25 p.m. when, for reasons that have yet to be determined, a 2010 Cadillac CTS being driven by Kristi L. Cordes, 37, a resident of Hanceville, swerved over the centerline where it collided with an oncoming 2005 Honda Element.
The driver of the Honda, Tristan Stormy Lane Black, 22, a resident of Lynn, and two of its three passengers, Brookelynne Alexus Dowdy, 20, a resident of Double Springs, and Bailey Dewayne Bennett, 20, a resident of Haleyville.
The Honda’s fourth passenger, a juvenile, and Cordes, were both airlifted to local trauma centers.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is currently investigating the cause of this accident.
