Fatal Truck Accidents in Alabama
Reports provided by the National Center for Statistics and Analysis (NCSA) show that approximately 140,000 people are seriously injured in semi-truck accidents across the United States each year. Although we would like to think that everyone overcomes their injuries, the size and weight of semi-trucks mean that these vehicles are more likely to cause life-altering injuries. In fact, more than 5,000 people end up passing away from their injuries.
In comparison to all other types of collisions, semi-trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles are responsible for roughly 12% of all fatal traffic incidents each year. Vehicles that are traveling at a high rate of speed are more likely to cause severe injuries. In fact, the majority of accidents are a result of negligence. When it comes to semi-truck accidents, there are several reasons why drivers and trucking companies can be held liable for damages, injuries, and deaths. Whether your loved one lost their life in an accident caused by an impaired driver, a reckless driver, due to mechanical failure, or another reason, it is imperative that you seek legal guidance from a qualified wrongful death attorney in Alabama as soon as possible.
