Ashville, AL – Beverly Ann Burford Killed in Crash on County Hwy 26
Ashville, AL (October 5, 2020) – On October 3, the Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on County Highway 26.
According to reports from Alabama State Trooper William Eliston, 63-year-old Beverly Ann Burford was driving on County Highway 26. As she passed through the intersection with County Highway 33 in her Dodge SUV, it was struck by a Dodge pickup truck.
The impact of the crash sent the SUV off the left shoulder of the road.
Burford was fatally injured in the accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident at 1:15 p.m.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries in the accident. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
At this time, the Alabama State Troopers are investigating the accident.
