Northport, AL – Rose Pleasants Killed & Six Injured in Crash on AL-43 (AL-69)
Northport, AL (September 30, 2020) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident just fourteen miles north of Northport that claimed one life and left several others injured.
At approximately 4:35 p.m., on September 28, emergency crews in Tuscaloosa County responded to the site of a crash on US Highway 43 (Alabama Highway 43/69). Reports show that a 2003 Buick LeSabre was traveling on US Highway 43 when it collided head-on with a 2008 Ford Mustang, which was driven by a 16-year-old male.
The driver of the Buick, 38-year-old William Craig Long, and his three passengers were transported to area hospitals with injuries. One passenger inside the Buick, identified as 40-year-old Rose Pleasants, was killed instantly in the accident.
The driver of the Ford and his 7-year-old passenger were both transported to local hospitals for treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
